There are so many sites out there that do nothing but enhance the stigma of both mental illness and self harm but one of the best exceptions is the “To Write Love On Her Arms” movement. This blog is full of hope and inspiration plus the following of the movement continues to gather momentum. If someone you know is struggling with self harm in any fashion direct them towards the “To Write Love On Her Arms” site as it is in a league of its own.

i got one of these shirts a year ago at a benefit concert. while i love the charity, i do not love everyone running up to me and asking what it means. seems no matter what explanation i give, people think it is a LGBT type of thing. joys of living in the south i suppose.
